Fania records has recently released an anthology of Joe Bataan tunes dating from 1967 - 1972. Bataan left the label in 1972. In 1973 he coined the term "salsoul", which ended up being the title of his first LP in 1973. Bataan would eventually go on to be co-founder of Salsoul Records and recorded three albums; Afro-Filipino (1975), Mestizo (1980) and II (1981). Tracklisting:
