Like many other artists i've come across, I got my first taste of Shigeto from a mixtape a DJ did a couple of years back. Since then, I have been bumping his tracks ever since. With Lineage, his upcoming mini LP, it's explained where his moniker as a producer stems from. It just so happens that Shigeto (means "to grow bigger") is his middle name and also the name of his great-grandfather, who's pictured in front of his home in Japan in the cover art.
