Sunflower Jazz is a series that consists of several events and shows that will personify the many different components of Jazz and Hip Hop. The foundation of these events will be blends of such that have been composed and recorded by myself and other artists. It is the goal to recreate the processes for the enjoyment and enlightenment of the audience.
Each live musical set will combine a DJ (myself) and professional musicians that include but are not limited to an upright bassman, keyboardist or pianist as well as male and female vocalists who dually serve as poets, MC’s and singers. During these segments, the shows will feature collaborations of sound clippings as narratives of Jazz and its rich history. As well, each event will also host an exclusive visual arts display that will portray the variations and natural settings of sunflowers as they are relative to Jazz and Hip Hop.
