This time around, we revisit the sounds of New York City bred punk rockers Blondie, a pioneering band founded and led by Debbie Harry and co-founded by Chris Stein. In 1980, the founding pair penned "Rapture", the second single off their Autoamerican LP. The song reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it stayed for two weeks. Much like the band's sound, "Rapture" is a combination of new wave, disco, R&B, pop, and Hip-Hop, and also makes mention of Hip-Hop pioneers Fab Five Freddy and Grandmaster Flash.
