Shigeto: Ringleader

In our last post on Shigeto, we covered his amazing Lineage album that took fans by storm. He's releasing No Better Time Than Now on August 19th/20th on Ghostly International, that will blow your mind again and keep you on your toes with its diversity. First up, he released a sneak preview of "Detroit Pt.1" three days ago and a day later hits us with his Samba influenced "Ringleader" track that brought a huge smile to my face. Shigeto: Lineage

Like many other artists i've come across, I got my first taste of Shigeto from a mixtape a DJ did a couple of years back. Since then, I have been bumping his tracks ever since. With Lineage, his upcoming mini LP, it's explained where his moniker as a producer stems from. It just so happens that Shigeto (means "to grow bigger") is his middle name and also the name of his great-grandfather, who's pictured in front of his home in Japan in the cover art.
