Omar: Dancing (K15 Remix)

In my never ending thirst for music, I came across the music of K15 in my usual quest. This guy is brilliant, to put it mildly. He claims that he was going through a musical block when he came across the "Dancing" a capella done by London soul legend Omar. Originally, the track was produced by Zed Bias, but K15 gave his share of the royal treatment by putting his own signature to the vocals. If music blocks are like this, I can only imagine the sounds that come out when his brain is in high gear. When you drop by his page, say thanks for the download.

Dezaray Dawn: The Dawning

The new full length release The Dawning from the talented singer-songwriter and producer, Dezaray Dawn is available now via Bandcamp. For those of you who like an eclectic blend on one album, this is another sure-shot to have as part of your collection. Outside of the groove on "Chameleon", one of my other favorites on the album is "Brand New", a tune about renewal of self. The wake up call comes on the jazzy Afro-Beat influenced "Don't You Dare", mentioning of how we have to play the cards that were dealt to us and not blame anyone else for mistakes we have caused for ourselves.

With spring being a transitional period to bring about new beginnings, some people have hopes to find new love, while others are moving on from situations that have run their course. Yellowtail ft. MC Zulu: Make It Happen

His natural chemistry in working with producers, MC Zulu has a ragga punch to make an instrumental into a big tune. His current strike is the "Make It Happen" single with Brooklyn based DJ/producer Yellowtail, who previously collaborated with Eska, Jose James, Alison Crockett and Monday Michiru.
