The Suffers: Make Some Room (Official Video)

Kam Franklin has the pipes to blow the roof off any venue she performs in. I'm not talking an instrument, per se, i'm speaking of the vocal swagger reminiscent of Chaka Khan, Bettye Lavette, and other greats before her. Fronting Houston's own funk band The Suffers, they are moving up in the ranks of people to look out for in 2015. Two nights ago, they did a very impressive set and tore it up in front of a jam packed house at Houston's legendary concert venue, Fitzgerald's.

The Suffers have recently released their highly anticipated Make Some Room EP, along with their first official video of the title track. You can purchase in physical form or simply as a digital download. Every physical copy comes with codes to access the digital format. Don't forget to pick up merchandise while you're shopping. Keep up to date with their upcoming tour by logging on to their website.

Harikiri: Natsu EP + Remixes

Thanks to a post on Soundcloud by production duo X&G (XIANMUSIC & GASZIA), it led me to a sweet EP titled Natsu by an artist named Harikiri who hails from London. This EP dropped in April of this year, but in the spirit of the holiday season, he's gifting it for a limited time. All you have to do is visit his Harikiri website, sign up for his newsletter, and the EP and remixes are free. This guy knows how to create some bangers. Further support would be helpful to him.

Georgia Anne Muldrow: Dimensions [Video]

Over the past weekend, SomeOthaShip Connect uploaded the brand new "Dimensions" video from Georgia Anne Muldrow, a follow-up from her Ms. One EP, that takes you on a kaleidoscope journey through the direction of Thomas Piper. GAM's flawless vocal delivery laid over the hypnotic production of Kriswontwo can make you get excited about Hip-Hop again. Not to mention she erases all doubt that there are no women who represent the artform and have messages on life, love and culture. Don't forget to order your digital copy via Bandcamp or iTunes. Vinyl copies will be available soon. Stay tuned!

Georgia Anne Muldrow: These Worlds [Ms. One (Rap EP) OUT NOW!]

It appears that I have dropped the ball again in posting upcoming releases. I thought I posted weeks ago about the release of Georgia Anne Muldrow's Ms. One (Rap EP) [dropped 6/24/2014], which is her debuting a full rap album. The original intent was to post the timelapse video that features the makings of the cover art by Juse One and one of the tracks from the album. Production for the entire album is done by my homie across the water, the great Kriswontwo! The man is an evil genius, but an overall good dude. Show your love and support by purchasing this work of art that comes from all angles.

Samuel: Steam Train

Some are describing Samuel as a "future R&B" artist because of the way his vocals blend with the production of Okzharp for his debut Falling Star EP released just days ago on Technicolour Music. As the days are getting cooler, "Steam Train" fits perfectly in your cozy soundtrack to help draw that special someone in closer. This digital goodness is available via the Ninja Shop.

Making his Blue Note Records debut with his widely acclaimed No Beginning, No End, José James has released the second single "Come To My Door" as an EP, that features a remix of this title by long time collaborator Taylor McFerrin. Three other tracks have also been remixed by the likes of Falty DL, Oddisee and Flako. Sunclef: Attoseconds EP

I'm taking a shot in the dark to guess that Sunclef is a new artist on the scene, as well as a new addition to the Soulection family. Either way, this guy sounds good. I'd like to welcome this brother to new supporters, so make your way over to Bandcamp and grab the Attoseconds EP for a $5 holler. ENJOY!
