Beeisthefuture: Twisted Intafuation [Music Video]

About a month ago while at work I met this talented young artist from New Orleans who calls himself Beeisthefuture. After his performance grabbed my attention and to hear more of his tracks, that he produces himself, his sound and style gives him rights to the name. Recently, he gave me a heads up on the new video for his "Twisted Infatuation" single taken from his For You album that he released via Soundcloud. Da-P dabeatX: Havok Highway

Here's a producer by the name of Da-P dabeatX from Montreal, Canada, who dropped this nice five track album earlier today on his Bandcamp page. My favorite is the opening track called "Tortoise". ENJOY!

AbJo: The Art of Refixing: The Reprise

Producer AbJo from the Soulection family has released a nifty remix project that gives his unique spin on Sango, Lauryn Hill, Q-Tip, Ta-Ku and several of his own works. Get it at "name your price", but keep in mind that artists put time and money to create these works. ENJOY!

Insightful: Annoying Voices

True story...I'm sitting here in the coffee shop close to my house, grab a cup of Joe, and sit down to rummage the fields of Soundcloud. A group of people sit down at a table close by and there's one guy in the group who's pretty much bullying the conversation. At the same time, I come across "Annoying Voices" by Insightful, while he's continuously running off at the mouth. I don't think i've ever heard the word "shit" so much from one person in one sitting. Anywho...I put on the headphones to listen and crank up the volume to drown this guy out. Finally, I find this picture, enlarge it on my laptop, set my laptop down so the screen is facing them, then make a dash to the bathroom. While i'm walking back to my seat, I noticed they got up to leave. I take it he got the message [finally], since everyone else who kept giving the "will you shut the f**k up?!" deep sighs weren't enough.

OiSiMA: Everything About Her (Sweatson Klank Remix)

Australian producer OiSiMA is ready to release his forthcoming Nicaragua Nights album that's coming out in the next few weeks. The first single, "Everything About Her", that features the rich vocals of Annabel Weston has gotten a touch-up from Sweatson Klank doing a remix. Jo Def: Steps

I'm one who doesn't tire easy when it comes to releases on Soulection. I take it they take good care in hand picking good artists. Next up is Jo Def, another dope producer from Cali who I've been listening to for quite some time. His Steps album takes juke/footwork and makes it more soulful. As good as these tracks sound, it was hard to pin down a favorite, as well as a choice for this post. "Swim" takes on a filtered Sade sample, and he does a great job with flipping J-Dilla's voice for "TookItThurr". Then you have "Ask Anything" and "My Heart" that takes things down a notch for more romantic forms. This is one that should grab the attention of music lovers from all over. Partpanda is a group of friends (Vienna, Graeme and James) and skateboarders from Brighton, UK who consider their sound as experimental hip-hop folk music. J’lectroniq: Psychasthenia

As the night starts to fall and the journey continues to find more music, I came across another artist that I wasn't familiar with. J’lectroniq is a Dutch DJ/producer and heads his own label Afrodisiac Recordings in his hometown of Groningen, Netherlands. Psychasthenia is the 2nd album in the 'Tales of a Dreamer' series, an abstract creation of a musical story by way of variations through his own psyche. Hope you enjoy the sounds as much as I am. Memotone: Stop Running & They Will Catch You

While browsing Soundcloud as usual, I just so happen to stumble upon Memotone, a multi-instrumentalist and producer from the UK, who I have to admit that i'm not familiar with, but came across this interesting track of his from a project called the Electronic Explorations Compilation that was released some months ago. This is something I can play when I want to reflect or do some serious thinking. It's very soothing for me. Hope you can say the same.

Sunclef: Attoseconds EP

I'm taking a shot in the dark to guess that Sunclef is a new artist on the scene, as well as a new addition to the Soulection family. Either way, this guy sounds good. Music Is Life

Not much has to be said about this video. However, it's great that Music & Memory finally took on a task such as this to show the true power that good music has on us all. This is one of the greatest examples of the title of this post. Have you fed your soul today?

Ark & Mama Crow: Avery

"Avery" is a captivating tune, to say the least. I've been soaking this composition in for the last couple of weeks and am finally getting around to posting it. Ark and Mama Crow describe their sound as; "The Eurythmics meets The Knife meets Never Ending Story. This down-tempo, soulfully mellow track is interlaced with ancient story and epic, fantasy soundscapes." Not only am I thoroughly enjoying this single, but she also has one of her older works, which is great too, available on her Bandcamp page.
